Support North American customs compliance for IKO Industries Ltd. in Mississauga, using tariff classification and advanced Excel skills daily.
This full-time, permanent Trade Compliance Analyst supports IKO North America’s daily customs operation. You will answer routine questions, prepare classifications, maintain origin records, and reconcile customs charges. The role works with Logistics, Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, plants, brokers, carriers, suppliers, and government agencies. Technical guidance comes from the Trade Compliance Specialist, with complex matters escalated appropriately.
Key Responsibilities:- Triage customs requests from internal teams, brokers, and carriers
- Prepare Canadian and U.S. first-pass HS classifications
- Maintain classification, origin, and CUSMA certification records
- Review invoices and perform monthly customs reconciliations
- Support government reporting, audits, and customs account administration
- Minimum five years of customs and trade operations experience
- Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. customs requirements
- Technical knowledge of CUSMA/USMCA, classification, and origin
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and large-data reconciliation skills
- Experience with advanced ERP environments; JDE preferred
