Weekday Daylight 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (Monday - Thursday)Weekend Day 6:00 am - 6:30 pm (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)YOUR ROLE AS A MAINTENANCE HELPER:
We are currently looking for an individual who is a self-starter and is not afraid to get their hands dirty to join our Maintenance team. Due to the nature of the business, alternative days or hours may be required. If you like a fast-paced, physical position that gets you up and moving, this could be the position for you!
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain area cleanliness of all forklift batteries, material handling equipment and personnel liftsReplace baler wire as necessary on the plastic baler/cardboard compactor in the Distribution CentreInspect and replace fluorescent and iridescent light bulbs throughout the Distribution CentreGeneral painting and spackling when necessaryMoving and assembling office furniture, fixtures and cubicles requiredProvide basic restroom and cafe/office maintenanceMaintenance warehouse floor sweeping and washing standards on a daily basisMounting fixtures and hanging picture frames throughout the facilityPerform occasional project cleaning such as rug shampooing, window cleaning, buffing floors, wall washing and cleaning of baseboardsDaily restroom cleaning, wiping and mopping using cleaning supplies, including floors, toilets, mirrors, sinks and stall partitionsClean and maintain water coolers throughout the Distribution CentreControl and track janitorial consumablesReport to work early on inclement weather days to remove snow and ice from sidewalks and steps to facility. Maintain this activity throughout the day when necessaryAssist the Maintenance Associates in conveyor repairs when necessaryAssist in setup of AE sponsored eventsAssist in any Material Handling activities when requiredMaintain a safe and clean work environmentEnsure production and quality standards are metBe open to performing other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma, GED or some high schoolAdaptable to change by working within different departmentsAbility to maintain an excellent attendance and work recordMust be 18 or olderPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend and stack cartons for up to 10 hours at a timeStand for long periods of time and walk continuouslyPull merchandise from multiple levels of shelving or move merchandise as neededClimb stairs and perform work at platform heights up to 60 feetLift and carry up to 50lbs. Specific weight requirements may vary within each department
