We are looking for a Technical Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance and technical support for our Hospital Compounding facility in Mississauga.
In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for the reliability and performance of our production equipment, facilities, utilities and critical plant systems. You will lead the maintenance team and partner across the site to keep operations safe, compliant and running effectively.
On-site requirement 5 days/week at our Hospital Compounding facility, located at 2400 Skymark Avenue, Unit 4, Mississauga, ON, L4W 5K5
KEY RESPONSIILITIES
- Lead, coach and develop the maintenance team.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for production equipment, facilities, utilities and critical plant systems.
- Ensure equipment and facility systems are maintained in compliance with safety, environmental and cGMP requirements.
- Oversee automation, electronic systems and the Building Management System (BMS), including response to alarms and unexpected operational issues.
- Lead calibration activities and support equipment qualification.
- Support new equipment and equipment modifications, including specifications, manufacturer selection and FAT/SAT.
- Manage facility improvements, capital projects, budgets, external service providers and key contracts.
- Partner with Quality, EH&S and other teams on investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This is an on-site role in an operational plant environment and requires flexibility to support plant needs, including occasional issues outside normal business hours. The role may involve indoor and outdoor work, work at heights, and lifting up to 70 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in equipment and facility maintenance in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical/electronic expertise.
- Experience with automation and building management systems.
- Experience leading and developing a team.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to urgent operational issues
- Assets include experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or aseptic filling, environmental monitoring systems, GMP and Quality Systems, and Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
The pay range for this role is $105,000 - $135,000 annually, plus bonus.
