We are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager for one of our valued clients in the manufacturing sector. This is a great opportunity to lead end-to-end plant operations, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of safety, productivity, and team collaboration.
Position Summary:
The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the manufacturing facility, including production, safety, staffing, maintenance, and quality assurance. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong operational expertise and a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily plant operations, including production, scheduling, inventory, and maintenance
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team including supervisors, operators, and technicians
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
- Collaborate with upper management on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize productivity and reduce costs
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships as required
- Ensure proper training and development programs are in place for plant personnel
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a plant or operations management role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with a hands-on approach
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality systems
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and operational targets effectively
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is an asset
