  • Position Overview

A well-established North American manufacturer of packaged and convenience food products is expanding operations in the Greater Toronto Area and is adding a Maintenance Supervisor at its Mississauga facility.

This is a newly created, first-shift leadership role supporting high-speed processing and packaging lines. The company continues to invest in equipment upgrades, preventive maintenance, and long-term workforce stability. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who wants to stay close to the floor, lead a unionized team, and improve reliability without sacrificing work-life balance.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a unionized maintenance team through daily engagement, clear expectations, and consistent follow-through

  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve asset reliability

  • Plan labor coverage, manage schedules, and support workforce planning for the maintenance group

  • Coach, mentor, and develop technicians while reinforcing safety, quality, and compliance standards

  • Partner with production and engineering on equipment upgrades and capital improvement initiatives

  • Step in on complex mechanical and electrical troubleshooting when needed

  • Drive continuous improvement through stronger planning, documentation, and standard work practices

  • Work Environment & Culture

  • First-shift schedule designed to support sustainability and long-term leadership success

  • Structured, team-oriented operation with strong cross-functional collaboration

  • Organization focused on stability, reliability, and continuous improvement rather than constant firefighting
