Work shifts - 3 shift rotation - every two weeksMaintain and repair production equipment and machinery and some building maintenance (drain blockage removal, water supply, etc.)Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution of production machines (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, controls, electrical if possible)Work with a continuous improvement mindset to reduce cost, breakdowns, and wastageProvide expertise and knowledge when required to Operators, Lead Hands, Supervisors, ManagersRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform PMsComplete daily / weekly / monthly safety checks, PMs, and performing routine plant monitoring in accordance with maintenance schedules while recording actionsMonitor work of contractors as requiredParticipate in the health and safety, food safety and environmental programsAssist with ongoing management of inventory levels for replacement partsUpdate written and electronic records as requiredMaintain adherence to GMP/AIB, Health and Safety standards and company regulationsManaging the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtimePerform inspections and lock-out procedures as requiredIdentifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new partsPerform preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical partsUse mechanical technical skills to effectively read documents such as specifications, machine manuals, and blueprintsMaintenance & Repair
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR Licensed Millwright OR unlicensed with equivalent hands-on experience5 years+ experience in a similar role in manufacturing environment; food packaging or other GMP / HACCP environment experience an assetMechanical aptitude and hands-on experience using wrenches, hammers, drills, other toolsProficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issuesHands-on, self-motivated individualRecord of successfully managing & executing multiple projects while meeting quality, timeline and budgetary objectivesAbility to be a team player and interact with Operators, Management team membersComputer literate (MS Office, CMMS)
