As a Production Scheduler II here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for supporting globally across the supply chain network to gather and manage information about our business's capacity to meet customer demand.

You will report directly to our Sr Materials Management Manager, and you’ll work out of our Mississauga, ON location.

In this role, you will impact the supply chain planning and execution process within the Aero business, helping to create and maintain a valid master schedule for material and capacity by effectively balancing supply and demand.

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP security clearance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet demand forecasts, customer orders, and inventory strategies.
  • Balance labor, equipment capacity, and material availability when creating schedules.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing and Materials teams to adjust schedules based on priority changes, downtime, or constraints.
  • Analyze and optimize scheduling sequences to reduce changeovers, increase throughput, and minimize waste.

  • Materials Coordination

  • Review MRP outputs and ensure material availability aligns with production plans.
  • Work with Procurement and Suppliers to address shortages, delays, and expedite requirements.
  • Monitor safety stock, reorder points, and lead times for assigned product families.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary scheduling contact for assigned manufacturing areas.
  • Communicate schedule changes and delivery risks to Operations, Customer Service, and Supply Chain.
  • Partner with Engineering on new product introductions, ECOs, and capacity-impacting changes.
  • Participate and sometimes lead daily/weekly production meetings.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Track and report KPIs such as schedule attainment, production adherence, and capacity utilization.
  • Analyze historical trends to improve forecast alignment and scheduling accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate master data (routings, lead times, planning parameters) in the ERP/MRP system.

  • Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement improvements to scheduling processes, tools, and system accuracy.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives, including kanban, value stream mapping, and bottleneck reduction.
  • Contribute to root-cause analysis for late orders, capacity issues, and production delays.
  • YOU MUST HAVE

  • Completed post secondary education in supply chain, business, operations management and engineering.
  • Minimum 4 years of production scheduling, planning, or materials management in manufacturing environment.
  • WE VALUE

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (for example SAP, Oracle, Rapid
  • Experience working in an aerospace, electronic manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and scheduling analytics tools.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
