Position Overview

The Shipper / Receiver is responsible for the accurate, safe, and timely receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and finished goods. This role ensures all incoming and outgoing products are properly inspected, documented, labeled, and handled in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and health and safety standards. This role plays a critical hands-on function in maintaining safe, organized, and efficient warehouse operations, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and supporting .

Location: Mississauga, ON. This role requires the candidate to work out of the Manufacturing facility at 6176 Kestrel Rd, Mississauga, ON L5T 1Z2.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all Health & Safety regulations, IFM policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment operation and work processes.
  • Receive incoming materials, and products.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and quality.
  • Verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Report and document shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Label, record, and store received items in designated warehouse locations.
  • Ensure completed orders are promptly removed from production prep areas.
  • Provide skids to production as required.
  • Pull stock items and relabel according to customer requirements.
  • Build skids for shipping and securely stretch-wrap and band shipments.
  • Load shipments onto trucks or containers and obtain proper documentation from drivers.
  • Follow customer-specified shipping methods (courier or freight).
  • Arrange delivery pickups via phone or online portals as directed.
  • Complete all courier and freight shipping processes through online systems.
  • Generate and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, packing lists, and tracking numbers.
  • Operate forklifts safely to transport and position materials.
  • Complete daily forklift inspections and report any issues.
  • Maintain organization of raw materials, finished goods, and outbound shipments.
  • Apply 6S lean principles and methods to assigned work areas and processes.
  • Provide absence coverage and backup support for other production functions as required.
  • Issue shipping and warehouse supplies.
  • Coordinate with Production, and Office teams to support operational supply needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, shipping operations within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving, material handling, and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Valid forklift operating experience; forklift certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification if not currently certified.
  • Experience loading trucks and containers is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
