As the Senior Manager – Manufacturing Assembly and Operations, you will lead operations for a complex value-added manufacturing environment supporting electrical assemblies, wire harnesses, PLC control panels, motor starter panels, and other custom engineered solutions. You will be responsible for managing production and technical teams involved in design support, assembly, testing, and modification of electrical and automation solutions for internal business units and external customers.
You will drive operational excellence in safety, quality, delivery, and cost while supporting engineering collaboration, customer requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Lead all value-added manufacturing operations including electrical panel assembly, PLC control panels, wire harness production, custom assemblies, testing, and modification services.Manage supervisors, team leads, engineers, technicians, and assemblers supporting production and technical operations.Plan production schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to meet customer demand and operational targets.Partner with Engineering to support design, development, testing, and introduction of new products into production.Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting for complex electrical assemblies, automation components, and control systems while ensuring compliance with applicable standards (UL, CSA, .Collaborate with Sales and customer teams to develop and deliver value-added manufacturing solutions that support business growth and customer satisfaction.Establish and monitor operational goals, KPIs, and performance metrics related to safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.Drive operational efficiency through Lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and capacity planning to align production capabilities with business demand.Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems while maintaining an audit-ready facility.Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree - Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field required;
Masters Degree preferred8 years of experience in manufacturing, production, engineering, or operations leadership5 years of experience managing supervisors, technical teams, or complex production operationsDemonstrated experience working with electrical assemblies, control panels, wire harnesses, PLC systems, or similar engineered electrical manufacturing environmentsStrong understanding of industrial electrical systems, control panels, automation components, and manufacturing processesFamiliarity with electrical and regulatory standards such as ESA, UL, CSA, and applicable industry codesExperience working in high‑mix, custom manufacturing environments supporting engineered solutionsStrong problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze complex operational and technical challengesExperience implementing Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiativesKnowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, Teams, and Power Point Strong communication and leadership skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced operational environmentExperience managing operational budgets, performance metrics, and productionExperience leading manufacturing teams responsible for electrical panel builds, automation systems, or engineered electrical assemblies preferredKnowledge of PLC systems, panel layouts, wiring schematics, and testing processes preferredAbility to travel 0% - 25%Working Environment: Warehouse – Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderately quiet. Generally well ventilated and well lighted. Warehouse employees may be exposed to all kinds of weather and may be required to wear protective clothing. Operates heavy equipment. Strict safety regulations may be required.
