Position: Test Technician - Days
Test Technician - Manufacturing
Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Test Technician to join our client's manufacturing team in Mississauga, ON. In this role you will be responsible for testing, calibrating, and assembling mechanical components to meet product specifications. The position involves moderate machine operation, use of hand and power tools, and requires the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

This role requires security clearance as per CGP and is open to Canadian citizens only.

Pay rate:  $23.50 per hour

Mississauga, ON

Shifts:

Monday to Friday, day shift available, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Responsibilities

Test, calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances to product specifications.

Lifting 30 lbs or less with moderate machine operation.

Uses hand tools and power tools according to product specifications, participates and effectively communicates with the team to prevent defects, increase efficiency, and improve overall safety.

Perform preventative maintenance tasks and standard start checks as per ETQ.

Work to drawings and test documents.

Requirements

Certified to all mandatory Health And Safety (HSE) requirements and successful completion of the company Technician training program.

As required by Cell Training Matrix, completion of tasks within standard times and quality levels using standard work.

Adherence to all safety, ESD, housekeeping policies and procedures as per ETQ Attributes/Skills.

Good manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination.

Good team player, able to work from drawings and written instructions.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment to at TAKT time.

Able to multitask.

Flexible to work on a second or third shift when/if required.

Qualifications

Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

College Diploma/Degree or equivalent Military experience.

Experience in electronic assembly.

Experience in troubleshooting down to component level.

Experience in power electronics for analog and digital circuits.

Security clearance as per CGP is required.

Working knowledge of English language, good verbal and written communication skills.

Lifting generally at or below 30 lbs with moderate repetitions.

Moderate exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, noise and physical risks is anticipated; operation of carts and lifts is considered at least industrial and may be considered heavy.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requires flexibility and understanding that all staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the Company.
