Electric Material Handler Technician

Become an integral part of a collaborative maintenance team as an Electric Material Handler Technician at our major industrial facility in Mississauga. Work mainly in a climate-controlled environment while maintaining a fleet of electric material handling equipment.

We are seeking a full-time technician/mechanic with a minimum of two years of mechanical repair experience. This role involves preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and diagnostics on a diverse range of electric assets such as reach trucks and pallet jacks. Strong proficiency in diagnosing electrical machinery issues is essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and diagnostics on electric handling equipment

• Prioritize and repair down equipment to maximize productivity

• Document maintenance activities using computer systems

• Follow standardized procedures for compliance

• Collaborate with the maintenance team on facility upkeep

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of mechanical repair experience

• Capable of operating forklifts for testing

• Strong troubleshooting aptitude for electrical systems

• Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints

• Ownership of standard mechanical tools
