The site supports non-GMP and GMP work for highly potent and low-potent compounds, complex formulations, pediatric dosage forms, patent-extension strategies, and conventional oral solid dosage forms.

* Provide support service requiring greater emphasis on timeliness and cost effectiveness. Responsible for tasks and duties directly impacting Good Manufacturing Practice and productivity.

** Shift schedule:*
* Continental - monthly rotation

** Day in the Life:*
* Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot electronic components on production and building support equipment.
Perform equipment and systemsu
2019 electrical/electronics up grades to Patheon Inc. safety standards.
Perform calibration of electronic sensors, control devices and instrumentation, including environmental controls.
Liaise with internal/external customers/inspections related to area of expertise.
Maintain up dated records of changes on documents such as, manuals, schematics, drawings, etc.
Maintain automation systems, electro-pneumatic circuits and
_Programmable Logic Controller_
(PLC) programming.
Document applicable work activities performed within a CMMS Program.
Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards.
Perform alternating or rotating shift work as well as requirement to work during maintenance shutdowns.

* High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is required
Ontario Electrical License (442A or 309A) is required.
Electronic Technician Certificate designation would be an asset

* Experience:

* Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron PLCu
2019s and Variable in a controlled and regulated environment.

* Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

* Familiar with GMPs, GAMP4/5 and 21 CFR part 11.
Superior written and oral skills.
Detail oriented and organized, with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness.
Superior writing skills as well strong accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and organizational skills.
Strong judgment, decision making and trouble shooting skills.
Ability to multi-task, meeting tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Proficient with the English language.

* Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about manufacturing/office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of up to 40 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity; visual acuity to operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.

Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, loud noise, bright lights, fumes or odour. Use of Personal Protective equipment is required and may include any of the following: safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety apron, respirator.
