* This role focuses on operating and maintaining screw machines to produce high-quality brass and metal components in a precision manufacturing environment. The Machine Operator loads raw material, monitors machine performance, performs routine adjustments and maintenance, and conducts detailed quality checks using gauges and calipers to ensure parts meet exact specifications and safety standards.

** Responsibilities*
* Load screw machines with brass and other metal rods as raw material, ensuring correct setup for each production run.
Operate and monitor a variety of precision screw machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications.
Adjust machine settings and configurations as needed to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
Perform regular routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot machining issues by identifying root causes and making appropriate adjustments to keep production on track.
Conduct inspections and tests using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools to verify component quality and precision.
Ensure all components meet technical specifications and established quality assurance standards before release.
Follow and uphold all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
Work closely with the machinist team and other colleagues to meet production goals and targets.
Monitor machinery processes to maintain consistent productivity and efficient workflows.
Escalate unresolved or complex issues to supervisors when additional support or resources are required.
Demonstrate integrity, teamwork, and a strong commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement in daily work.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, health and safety protocols, and production timelines at all times.

** Essential Skills*
* Minimum 2 years of experience in manual machine operation within high-volume or precision machining environments.
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a custom fabrication shop or machine shop.
Proficiency in machine operation, including setup and routine maintenance of precision machinery.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Experience performing inspections and testing with gauges and calipers as part of quality control processes.
Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical systems and tooling.
Ability to quickly identify issues and troubleshoot machinery problems to minimize downtime.
Capability to perform detailed quality checks to ensure adherence to strict technical specifications and quality assurance standards.
Ability to adapt to changing production needs and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
