Our facility in Mississauga, Ontario has key positions in Sales, Marketing, Research & Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Support and other disciplines. Operating since 1984, this site specializes in the design, development, manufacturing and marketing of a broad portfolio of innovative LED and Lamp technology. The Toronto facility serves a variety of markets such as electronics, optoelectronics, digital printing, general assembly, coatings, and medical device manufacturing, as well as endoscopy, bioscience research, microscopy and instrumentation.
The Mississauga facility is an FDA registered Contract Medical Device Manufacturer.
We are presently seeking an Assembly Technician II for our morning shift who will perform tasks to assemble optical, mechanical, electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems.
Main Responsibilities
Performs routine tasks with limited supervision and only requiring supervision on newly assigned tasks.
Detail oriented with proven ability to learn new processes and systems.
Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as mechanical assembly, soldering, encapsulating, die bonding, wire bonding, cleaning, epoxy, curing, operation of pneumatic machinery, etc.
Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases or other packing material.
May perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device.
Performs inline testing, inspection using measuring instruments, software, fixtures, and electrical test equipment to ensure parts and assemblies meet production standards.
Ability to cross train on other programs in the facility.
Ability to perform various repair/rework operations using approved written procedures.
Follow instructions from electronic or printed assembly processes or electronic test procedures.
Ability to perform any other job-related task assigned by your supervisor/manager.
Requirements
At least 1 years to 2 years of electronics assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
Post secondary diploma or certificate in a related discipline.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
Good English verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working in an ISO
9001, 14001, 13485 certified, and/or FDA QSR compliant environment is an asset.
Work day shift from 6am-2:30pm Monday thru Friday.
