Are you an experienced Machine Operator with strong mechanical skills and a passion for precision manufacturing? This could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for! We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator (L2) – ELR to join a growing manufacturing team in Mississauga, ON.
Job Type: Full time-Ongoing
Location: Mississauga, ON
Pay Rate: $22.80
Hours: Day shift Monday - Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
- Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machine.
- Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce outputs according to specifications.
- Inspect and measure finished products and parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments (e.g. Micrometers, Vernier calipers) while infilling and cleaning engraving in a timely manner.
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
- Analyze job order and performs necessary calculations.
- Makes improvements to set up times for tasks and simplify tooling time for workers and increases productivity for the client
- Provide feedback to project managers on design, modifications etc.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent CNC professional experience
- At least 2 years of Manufacturing experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read drawings an asset
- Excellent written communication, organization, and prioritization skills
- Ability to lift loads up to 50lbs Responsibilities, Skills, and
