Staff Plus is hiring an experienced Metal Fabricator for a manufacturing client in Mississauga, ON.
This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in metal fabrication, grinding, polishing, deburring, countersinking, or beveling who is comfortable reading engineering drawings and working with metal parts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, finishing, and inspecting metal components to ensure they meet production specifications and quality standards.

Location: Mississauga, ON
Pay Rate: $23.10/hour
Hours:
Afternoon Shift
- Monday to Thursday: 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM
- Friday: 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM
Training on Day Shift: $21.00/hour
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Candidates must be available to complete training on the day shift before transitioning to the afternoon shift.
What You'll Do:
- Perform countersinking, beveling, deburring, grinding, and polishing on metal parts.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections to achieve a clean, high-quality finish.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and production requirements.
- Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet specifications.
- Inspect finished parts for appearance, measurements, and overall quality.
- Prepare metal components for fabrication, assembly, or welding.
- Operate drill presses, grinders, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment.
- Work with stainless steel, aluminum, and other metal materials.
- Maintain quality standards for product appearance and surface finish.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Complete other fabrication and production duties as required.
- 2+ years of experience in metal fabrication, metal finishing, or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with grinding, polishing, deburring, beveling, or countersinking metal parts.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings or blueprints.
- Experience using fabrication, finishing, and hand tools.
- Ability to use basic measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and tape measures.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when inspecting surface finish and part quality.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with stainless steel or aluminum.
- Basic MIG or TIG welding knowledge.
- Previous experience in a metal fabrication shop.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and work full time hours as required by this position.
