Food Production Worker - Afternoon Shift

Staff Plus is currently hiring Food Production Workers to join a fast-paced food manufacturing and production environment.

This is a hands-on position involving the preparation, decorating, inspection, and packaging of small pastries and food products. If you are comfortable working on your feet, performing repetitive production tasks, and maintaining strong quality and food safety standards, this may be a great opportunity for you.

Job Type: Full time, ongoing

Pay Rate: $17.60/hour + $0.50 Shift premium

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Shift: Afternoon Shift, Monday to Friday, 3:00pm - 11:00pm

What You'll Do:

• Shape, dip, decorate, and package small pastries and food products by hand.
• Inspect ingredients and finished products for size, appearance, consistency, and overall quality.
• Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
• Keep workstations, tools, and production areas clean and organized.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, health, and workplace safety procedures.
• Work cooperatively with team members in a fast-paced production environment.
• Lift up to 30 to 40 lbs as required.

• Comfortable standing for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Able to bend, lift, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs when required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Reliable and able to work efficiently in a production environment.
• Able to follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and work full time hours as required by this position.

Food Production Requirements

Because this position works directly with food products, employees must follow strict food safety and GMP requirements while working in the production area.

• No jewelry or accessories, including earrings, bracelets, watches, rings, or nose rings.
• No fake nails, fake eyelashes, or nail polish.
• No hoodies or loose/baggy clothing.
• No strong perfumes or scented products.
• No glass containers, food, or gum in the production area.
• Peanut/nut-based products, seafood, and shellfish are not permitted in the facility.
