Build precision machining experience with AtkinsRéalis in Mississauga, using manual machines, introductory CNC machinery, and measuring tools. Work day shifts Monday through Friday.
This Machinist Co-op Student assignment supports practical experience in subtractive manufacturing. You will work with licensed machinists and CNC programmers while connecting classroom theory with precision production. The work includes machine setup, inspection, blueprint reading, and part finishing.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with manual machine setup and operation
- Operate introductory CNC machinery under experienced guidance
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools
- Read engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
- Deburr, clean, and prepare machined parts
- Current enrollment in an accredited machining program
- Basic shop math and cutting knowledge
- Foundational understanding of feeds and tooling
- CAD/CAM familiarity, including Mastercam or Solid Works, is an asset
- Commitment to PPE and safety protocols
