Registered Practical Nurse
Silverthorn Community, Mississauga. Pay $31.10 - $33.60 per hour (Collective Agreement). Reporting to Director of Care.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.

Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.

Create a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff.

Oversee resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and provide guidance to staff.

Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.

Handle admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents.

Qualifications

Registered Practical Nurse in good standing at the Ontario College of Nurses.

Experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry is an asset.

Good judgement, ability to identify risk and foster a positive work environment.
