Position: Registered Practical Nurse| Permanent Part-Time |Days
Registered Practical Nurse – Silverthorn Community – Mississauga.
Pay $31.10–$33.60 per hour as per Collective Agreement.
This position is for an existing vacancy.

Reporting to the Director of Care, the  Registered Practical Nurse  is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents.

What you’ll be doing

Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.

Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.

Create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff.

Oversee resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and provide guidance to staff.

Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.

Manage admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to residents.

Who you are

A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.

An asset having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation, and/or senior health industry.

Good judgment, the ability to identify risk, and foster a positive work environment.

Legally eligible to work in Canada or possess a valid work permit.
