RPN Casual Nurse Position

Care for the community as a Registered Practical Nurse with Well Fort’s Homeless Health Program in Mississauga. This casual position focuses on providing healthcare to vulnerable populations in need.

Well Fort seeks an adaptable and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse to enhance its Homeless Health Program. In this role, you will deliver hands-on medical care and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to advocate for those facing barriers to traditional healthcare. Your contributions will help improve the health outcomes of individuals experiencing homelessness in the Peel Region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in community and shelter settings

• Educate clients on health promotion and available resources

• Collaborate with team members in outreach initiatives

• Manage chronic conditions and provide necessary wound care

• Facilitate mental health support and stabilization services

Requirements:

• Accredited nursing degree or diploma in Canada

• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Experience with marginalized populations and healthcare access

• Strong interpersonal skills and multitasking abilities

• Proficiency in EMR and relevant software applications
