Registered Practical Nurse Compassionate Care

In this pivotal role, the Registered Practical Nurse reports directly to the Director of Care and is responsible for the coordination of quality, resident-centered care. Successful candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to engage meaningfully with residents and their families while overseeing PSW activities and fostering a positive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and modify personalized care plans

• Liaise with health care personnel and families

• Monitor PSW performance and conduct evaluations

• Administer medications and treatments per protocols

• Conduct unit rounds and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

• Current Certificate of Competence as an RPN in Ontario

• Experience in long-term care settings preferred

• Strong communication skills in written and oral forms

• Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team

• Clear vulnerable sector screen and TB test results
