Join Trillium Health Partners as a Registered Nurse in the Psychiatry Consultation Liaison role at Mississauga Hospital. This full-time position is vital for supporting mental health in a hospital context.
As a member of the Mental Health Program, you will provide critical consultation services for patients facing psychiatric emergencies while receiving medical or surgical treatment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support families through the challenges of mental health crises in a compassionate manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver psychiatric consultations to various units
• Conduct comprehensive patient nursing assessments
• Collaborate on care delivery with treatment teams
• Educate patients and families about mental health
• Document assessment findings meticulously
Requirements:
• Graduate from a recognized nursing program
• Active RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• 5 years of experience in mental health care
• Current BCLS/CPR certification
• Proven leadership and assessment skills
