Wage Range: $113,153 – $141,441

Reporting directly to the Director of Long-Term Care Operations and Quality, the Nurse Clinician provides overall guidance, support, strategic leadership, oversight, and professional expertise to the Directors of Care and senior management team.
As a member of the corporate support team, the Nurse Clinician supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs and ensures that all homes operate in accordance with the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021, Ontario Regulation 246/22, and all applicable legislation, regulations, and regulatory standards.
The Nurse Clinician also plays a key role in performance management by providing coaching, feedback, and disciplinary guidance as required to maintain high professional and ethical standards across resident care and service areas.
This role provides oversight, coaching, and support to RAI Coordinators and Quality Leads, and monitors the regulatory Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Program, Health Quality Ontario submissions, LTCF processes, Quality Improvement Plan development, and annual evaluations of required programs.
The Nurse Clinician leads teams in the development and implementation of specialized programs within resident care and services.
Key Responsibilities Vision, Mission & Strategic Leadership- Collaborate with the senior operations team in the development of the organization's and homes' mission, vision, and values.
- Work with Directors of Care on strategic planning and the establishment of annual goals and objectives.
- Work with ADOCs, RAI Coordinators, and the Quality Improvement team on quality indicators, improvement plans, annual evaluations, and Case Mix Index outcomes.
- Provide guidance and direction to senior management in resident care, services, and legislative requirements, including the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 and Ontario Regulation 246/22.
- Lead the development of corporate policies and procedures across all areas.
- Assist homes in maintaining compliance with applicable statutes, regulations, and government requirements.
- Provide oversight, coaching, and support to Directors of Care, Associate Directors of Care, RAI Coordinators, and Quality Leads.
- Monitor RAI‑LTCF outcomes and provide support for quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and participate in the development of nursing operating budgets and monitor the Case Mix Index for each home.
- Provide leadership in the development and implementation of special programs using an interdisciplinary and inter‑facility approach.
- Provide guidance and support in the purchase of resident‑related equipment and supplies.
- Complete and submit a written site‑visit report to the Director of Care and Executive Director following each visit.
