Job Description
We are seeking a hands‑on and innovative Formulation Chemist to support Drug Product development from concept through to GMP manufacturing. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of formulation and process development, helping bring oral dosage forms from bench scale to commercial readiness.

You will lead the design and execution of formulation studies, support scale‑up and technology transfer, and play an active role in GMP production operations. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate across teams, solve complex process challenges, and contribute directly to delivering high-quality products for clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented scientist with strong technical expertise in oral dosage technologies and manufacturing processes, who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key Highlights

Design and execute formulation development studies in an R&D setting

Lead process development, scale‑up, and transfer to GMP manufacturing

Support and execute GMP production activities

Draft protocols, batch records, and contribute to GMP documentation (SOPs, ERP systems)

Troubleshoot formulation and process challenges, driving continuous improvement

Collaborate on client updates and cross‑functional project teams

Ensure compliance with SOPs, cGMP, GLP, and safety standards

Qualifications

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering/Chemistry with >5 years’ experience or Ph.D in Chemistry with >2‑3 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical‑related industry

Must have a strong knowledge of drug product development, GMP’s and hands‑on experience with oral dosage process equipment and related technologies

Must be highly motivated and have a proven record of success in multiple projects

Must be well organized and able to meet project timeline commitments

Must work well in a multi‑disciplinary team environment and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The starting annual base compensation for this position is $75,000 CAD. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
