Senior Research Chemist (Drug Product) - Eurofins CDMO Alphora, Inc.
Full-time
Compensation: CAD 75,000 - CAD 75,000 - yearly
We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Research Chemist to lead and execute analytical activities supporting Drug Product Development and GMP operations. In this critical role, you’ll take ownership of analytical services across the product lifecycle—contributing to innovation, quality, and regulatory compliance.
You will play a key role in method development, transfer, and phase‑appropriate validation, while also supporting QC release, stability programs, and investigations. As a senior member of the team, you may also mentor or oversee junior staff, helping drive excellence across the lab.
This role is ideal for a hands‑on scientific leader who thrives in a fast‑paced GMP environment, with a strong focus on problem‑solving, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Highlights   Lead analytical method development, transfer, and validation for oral drug products
Support QC release testing, stability studies, and investigations (OOT/OOS/Deviations)
Author and review GMP documentation including methods, specifications, protocols, and SOPs
Troubleshoot and maintain analytical instruments (HPLC, GC, KF, etc.)
Ensure compliance with cGMP, GLP, and regulatory guidelines (ICH)
Help foster a safe, compliant, and high‑performing laboratory environment
Potential to supervise or mentor team members
Qualifications   

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry with >10 years experience or Ph.D in Chemistry with >5 years experience in the pharmaceutical-related field industry
Strong knowledge of drug product development and hands‑on experience in analytical development
Highly motivated with a proven record of success in multiple projects
Well organized and able to meet project timeline commitments
Ability to work well in a multi‑disciplinary team environment; excellent written and verbal communication skills
The starting annual base compensation for this position is CAD 75,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include, but are not limited to, the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
