Quality Assurance Lead

The Quality Assurance Lead supports the Quality Manager in maintaining the Quality Management System and ensuring products and processes meet internal, customer, and regulatory standards. The role focuses on ISO compliance, process controls, supplier performance monitoring, and overseeing inbound inspection and component release into inventory.

Responsibilities:
– Support the Quality Manager with ISO compliance, internal audits, and corrective actions.
– Help implement and monitor process controls for hose assembly and machining operations.
– Oversee inbound inspection, approve/reject materials, and maintain accurate quality records.
– Train QC Inspectors and production staff on measurement tools and in-process inspection.
– Assist with supplier evaluations, audits, risk assessments, and performance monitoring.
– Monitor quality metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
– Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and compliance with QMS requirements across all operations.

Qualifications:

– 5-10 years of Quality experience in industrial manufacturing (fluid conveyance an asset).
– Diploma/degree in Quality, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field.
– 3+ years ISO/QMS experience.
– Proficient with calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and pressure testing tools.

– Experience with supplier audits and performance evaluations.
– Ability to read engineering drawings and thread specs (NPT, BSPP/BSPT).
