Responsibilities
Program Maintenance and Monitoring

Developing, implementing, maintaining and improving the Integrated Management System (IMS) which includes Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems.

Continually promote awareness of the program across projects and departments, including orientations for new hires.

Assist Department Managers to develop and implement new procedures, forms, revisions and initiatives as they relate to the IMS.

Assist project teams with development of project-specific QMS and quality plans required by contract or client, and ensure alignment with the IMS

Ensure documents are properly posted in the IMS system) and that applicable staff are made aware of changes.

In conjunction with the Quality Services Manager and Director, Environmental & Quality Services, assist in the development of annual plan for the department and quarterly reporting on status of plan.

Assist in the further development of online systems used to improve the management and tracking of information related to the IMS system.

Prepare bi-monthly reports and statistics on the performance of the IMS system, compliance requirements, objectives and targets etc.

Contributing to improvement initiatives for all aspects of the IMS

Prepare and distribute subcontractor/supplier surveys and summarize the results in a report.

Prepare Subcontractor Evaluations for Operations on projects nearing completion.

Provide support and expertise to Joint Venture Integrated Management System and registrations as required.

Continuous Improvement Opportunity (CIO) Program

Assist Quality Services Manager with maintenance of the CIO system

Assist Department Managers as required in the timely closeout of all CIO’s.

Continually promote the CIO Process across the company to ensure that CIO’s are generated regularly.

Internal and External Auditing

Ensuring all auditing requirements of the ISO 9001, ISO
14001 & ISO 45001 standards are met.

Developing and distributing internal and external audit schedules and plans for department audits and project-level audits to meet ISO, contract, and client requirements

Conducting project-level internal and external/subcontractor audits and issuing audit reports to identify actionable items (non-conformances (NCRs), risks, continuous improvement opportunities (CIOs or OFIs), corrective actions, etc.)

Providing guidance to internal audit teams conducting department audits for identification of actionable items and ensuring the timely completion of internal audit reports for department audits

Ensuring all audit reports are completed to meet timelines per the IMS and the project-level contract and client requirements

Conducting audits as required in preparation for third-party certification and surveillance audits

Coordinating and ensuring audits with third-party auditors are completed to preserve ISO certifications and to meet project contract and client requirements and frequencies

Following up with Department Managers and project teams to ensure timely closeout of actionable items and recommendations from audits.

Educational requirements

Post secondary education in Administrative or Quality studies.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years working with ISO Registrations

Must be knowledgeable in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001

Experience in a construction environment is considered an asset
