Position Summary
The ISO Management Systems Advisor is responsible for the maintenance and continual development of Kenaidan’s Integrated Management System consisting of ISO 9001 QMS, ISO 14001 EMS and ISO 45001 H&S.

Responsibilities
Program Maintenance and Monitoring

Developing, implementing, maintaining and improving the Integrated Management System (IMS) covering Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems.

Continually promote awareness of the program across projects and departments, including orientations for new hires.

Assist Department Managers to develop and implement new procedures, forms, revisions and initiatives related to the IMS.

Assist project teams with the development of project‑specific QMS and quality plans required by contract or client, and ensure alignment with the IMS.

Ensure documents are properly posted in the IMS system and that applicable staff are made aware of changes.

In conjunction with the Quality Services Manager and Director of Environmental & Quality Services, assist in the development of annual plans for the department and quarterly reporting on status.

Assist in further development of online systems used to improve the management and tracking of information related to the IMS.

Prepare bi‑monthly reports and statistics on IMS performance, compliance requirements, objectives and targets.

Contribute to improvement initiatives for all aspects of the IMS.

Prepare and distribute subcontractor/supplier surveys and summarize results in a report.

Prepare subcontractor evaluations for operations on projects nearing completion.

Provide support and expertise to Joint Venture Integrated Management Systems and registrations as required.

Continuous Improvement Opportunity (CIO) Program

Assist the Quality Services Manager with maintenance of the CIO system.

Assist Department Managers as required in the timely closeout of all CIOs.

Continually promote the CIO process across the company to ensure CIOs are generated regularly.

Internal and External Auditing

Ensure all auditing requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 are met.

Develop and distribute internal and external audit schedules and plans for department and project‑level audits to meet ISO, contract and client requirements.

Conduct project‑level internal and external/subcontractor audits and issue audit reports to identify actionable items (NCRs, risks, improvement opportunities).

Provide guidance to internal audit teams for identification of actionable items and timely completion of audit reports.

Ensure all audit reports meet timelines per the IMS and project‑level contract and client requirements.

Conduct audits as required for third‑party certification and surveillance audits.

Coordinate and ensure audits with third‑party auditors are completed to preserve ISO certifications and meet project contract and client requirements.

Follow up with Department Managers and project teams to ensure timely closeout of audit recommendations.

Educational Requirements

Post‑secondary education in Administrative or Quality studies.

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Training.

ISO 14001 & 45001 Lead Auditor Training.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years working with ISO registrations.

Knowledgeable in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

Experience in a construction environment is an asset.

Skills
