The Procurement Quality Assurance Representative reports to the Procurement Quality Manager. This role will be based at Candu Energy Inc. located in Mississauga, Ontario.

Your role

Review procurement documentation (Engineering

Requisition , Engineering documents, Bidders List, Request for Proposal, Purchase Order) to ensure quality requirements are correctly captured and communicated to suppliers.

Review and evaluate supplier proposals and bids, determine compliance with QA requirements, and conduct supplier audits when required.

Manage supplier audit processes including planning, execution, SCAR, audit reporting, checklist usage, supplier acceptance letter, and proper filing of audit documentation.

Familiarize with pertinent technical and design requirements necessary for quality surveillance, such as technical specifications, applicable codes and standards, drawings, and inspection and test plans.

Perform surveillance of suppliers at their facilities, witness key inspections, and review documentation packages per approved inspection and test plans.

Issue and follow up on supplier corrective action requests based on quality surveillance findings.

Issue quality surveillance reports and quality assurance releases.

Liaise with the Engineering Representative during the life of the purchase order on issues requiring technical interpretation or guidance in quality surveillance activities.

Report and, if necessary, escalate significant quality-related issues on assigned purchase orders to the Procurement QA Manager and Procurement until resolution.

Maintain and monitor the validity of supplier qualifications with open purchase orders.

About You

Graduate from a recognized institute of advanced technology in a relevant field or have equivalent formal education with 5-10 years of progressive technology experience.

Minimum of 5 years practical working experience in the nuclear industry preferred; experience in automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing industries also considered.

Working knowledge of quality standards including ISO 9001:2015, CSA N285.0-2017, CSA N286-2012, CSA N299.1-2016, CSA B51, and ASME NCA 4000, 3800, 3300, B31.1, B31.3 codes.

Moderate computing skills and proficiency with standard Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Capability to manage multiple audits, bids, and surveillances concurrently and perform well under deadline pressures.

Strong problem-solving capabilities to tackle a wide range of unique problems.

Strong organizational, planning, and self-management skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and effectiveness in interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Maintain a valid driving licence, which is a role requirement.

Approximately 50% travelling required, subject to change based on role demand.
