Senior Quality Assurance Manager

Position Summary
Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga, is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Manager to ensure compliance with our Quality Management System and promote quality across the organization and our supply base. The incumbent will address quality‑related issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Compensation
$105,000 – $120,000 annually

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with MAM’s Quality Management System, customer and regulatory requirements, and corporate policies and procedures.

Maintain and review internal and external quality metrics to monitor and measure facility performance; identify and implement corrective actions.

Lead root‑cause investigations and resolution of quality deficiencies using industry best‑practice methodologies.

Organize and facilitate internal and external quality audits.

Provide quality training, guidance, and mentoring to MAM employees and suppliers.

Manage supplier quality approvals and audit MAM’s suppliers.

Participate in customer interfaces to address quality scorecards and related issues.

Organize management review meetings and support process owners to ensure QMS risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated.

Requirements

Technologist or Engineering degree. Formal training in management courses is an asset.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant manufacturing, quality, or engineering experience.

Minimum of 3 years in quality administration or quality engineering; aerospace or gas turbine engine training/experience is an asset.

Solid technical background; able to interpret drawings and customer specifications.

Knowledge of inspection techniques.

Good understanding of quality requirements in an ISO/AS environment.

Working knowledge of aerospace industry standards and OEM requirements.

Strong understanding of Quality Management System and auditing.

Strong understanding of root‑cause analysis and development of corrective action plans.

Knowledge of statistical analysis, process capability, and problem‑resolution tools such as 5 Whys, Six Sigma, and FPY.

Basic or advanced knowledge of gas turbine engines.

Excellent prioritization, planning, and organizational skills.

Strong mentoring and training skills.

Strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Strong statistical, mathematical, and critical‑thinking skills.

Preventative, proactive, and forward‑thinking mindset.

Excellent procedure‑development skills.

Ability to evaluate and implement advanced software and quality‑improvement tools.

Understanding of flight safety, health & safety, and environmental principles.

Understanding of NADCAP and OEM special‑process requirements.
