We are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist with strong experience in food product labeling and regulatory compliance for one of our food manufacturing clients in GTA region
.

Pay - 85K + Bonus

Responsibilities
  • Review product labels, packaging, formulations, and claims to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve label artwork for new and existing products.
  • Support new product development by providing regulatory guidance on formulations and product claims.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates that may affect products and labeling.
  • Maintain ingredient lists, Nutrition Facts, allergen information, recipes, and product specifications.
  • Manage Kosher and Vegan applications and certification renewals.
  • Conduct annual label reviews and inspect first prints of new or revised labels.
  • Collect required documentation from suppliers and vendors for quality reviews.
  • Support corrective action plans related to regulatory or compliance issues.
  • Maintain finished product lists, allergen master lists, specifications, and customer databases.
  • Generate nutrition information for R&D samples using nutritional analysis software.
  • Work with Marketing, R&D, Quality, and Production teams on new product development.
  • Ensure compliance with CFIA, Health Canada, FDA, USDA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Stay up to date with food labeling regulations and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate information in Orion and other internal systems.
  • Follow all company safety and PPE requirements.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of Regulatory Affairs experience in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong experience with food product labeling and Canadian labeling regulations.
  • Knowledge of CFIA, Food and Drugs Act, Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR), allergens, and nutrition claims.
  • Experience with HACCP, GMP, and food safety systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Degree/Diploma in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
