We are hiring CMM Inspector's in Mississauga, Ontario! Job Description
The CMM Inspector performs a full range of inspection activities on engine components, details, and sub-assemblies, ensuring they meet all drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. This role develops and optimizes CMM programs, executes visual and dimensional inspections at various stages of production, interprets inspection results, and identifies non-conformances in line with applicable standards and procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform all inspection operations required by process planning or subsidiary planning, including repair schemes and rectification notes, on details and sub-assemblies.
- Develop and optimize CMM programs using engineering drawings or 3D models for engine components and assemblies.
- Perform CMM inspections and dimensional verification using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and in-process inspections in accordance with drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and work instructions.
- Operate CMM equipment, interpret inspection results, and identify non-conformances in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Perform First Article, in-process, final, and receiving inspections as required.
- Carry out FOD (Foreign Object Debris/Damage) inspections and ensure compliance with FOD prevention requirements.
- Adhere to and comply with all written inspection procedures and quality standards.
- Perform operator and process audits in support of accreditation systems that may be operational.
- Inspect incoming material for quantity and product verification in line with instruction operation sheets.
- Inspect outgoing material for correct packaging and document verification, and approve documents where necessary.
- Transfer accrued knowledge through on-the-job training to support the development of colleagues.
- Report inspection results clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing, in an intelligible manner.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on CMM inspection experience.
- Strong inspection, quality control, and quality assurance skills.
- Proficiency in CMM programming using software such as Calypso, MCOSMOS, or PC-DMIS.
- Proficiency in performing visual, dimensional, in‑process, and final inspections.
- Experience performing FOD (Foreign Object Debris/Damage) inspections.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 requirements.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and 3D models for inspection purposes.
- Ability to clearly document and communicate inspection results, both verbally and in writing.
- Competent computer skills for operating CMM software and preparing inspection reports.
Skills & Qualifications
- Quality assurance certificate is an asset.
- Experience with LK or Mitutoyo CMMs is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to provide on-the-job training and share technical knowledge with others.

WorkEnvironment
