As the Lead Archaeologist, you will spearhead assessments under the Ontario Heritage Act, shaping strategies for successful archaeological initiatives.
Your role involves mentoring team members and enhancing skills while maintaining efficient project operations. With over 15 years in archaeology, you will provide expert guidance on Indigenous engagement, risk management, and project budgeting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead archaeological assessments and mitigation planning
• Develop strong partnerships with Indigenous Nations
• Guide clients on archaeological processes and constraints
• Drive business development and technical proposals
• Review deliverables for compliance with standards
Requirements:
• Valid archaeological fieldwork license in Ontario
• Degree in archaeology, anthropology, or similar
• 15+ years in archaeological project leadership
• Knowledge of CRM and legislative frameworks
• Valid driver’s license per WSP’s policy
