Lead transformative ethics reviews with the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. This initiative aims to streamline multi-site, multi-jurisdictional clinical trials across Canada for improved access and efficiency.

The Pan-Canadian Single Research Ethics Review Initiative seeks to unify and enhance ethical review processes for clinical trials. Being spearheaded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, this project is vital to reduce fragmentation in ethics reviews, ensuring more timely access to essential medical interventions. Central to this initiative are criteria for choosing participating institutions, utilizing technology for seamless communication, and adhering to regulatory frameworks across a federated system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement streamlined ethics review systems nationwide

• Establish clear governance and decision-making guidelines

• Ensure compliance with TCPS and privacy laws

• Develop a plan for independent evaluation of processes

• Facilitate participation across at least eight provinces

Requirements:

• Nominated Principal Applicant must be an independent researcher

• Minimum of ten team members across eight provinces required

• Strong understanding of ethics and regulatory compliance

• Proven experience in multi-jurisdictional research settings

• Commit to principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion
