The pay range for this role $50,000 to $65,000 CAD, with final compensation being determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, job-related knowledge, and internal equity. Where applicable, location and market data may also influence the final offer.

Your core mission as a Research Assistant on the Process Development team is to provide technical support to other members of the team with a focus on several experiments and methods of analysis that are well understood and normally have standard procedures to follow. You will deliver on this mission by:

• Setting up and executing experiments according to established SOPs or as directed by senior staff.
• Understanding the underlying principles of process development methods and equipment (e.g., milling, formulation screening) well enough to execute tasks correctly and recognize when results deviate from expectations.
• Performing accurate calculations, making observations, and gathering complete and accurate data.
• Maintaining up‐to‐date working records, such as lab notebooks and sample reports, by uploading, entering, organizing, and summarizing experimental data.
• Adhering to local, provincial, and federal legislation pertaining to company employment and health and safety policies.
• Demonstrating corporate values in the performance of the work and interactions with others.

Provide technical support to the Process Development team staff and work with other Vive scientists toward a determined goal or deliverable. This may involve tasks such as:

• Operate mill equipment safely and efficiently to prepare formulation samples requested by formulators and other colleagues, monitoring the milling process to ensure it runs efficiently and meets requirements.
• Sample characterization and analysis (particle size measurement, viscosity, etc.).
