Licensed Optician

Position

Crafters Licensed Optician – Full‑Time.

• Welcome all customers and set expectations.
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses.
• Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
• Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Use technology accurately despite time pressure and customer volume; demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and use appropriate tools.
• Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded, and provide solution‑driven outcomes.
• Multi‑task, prioritize and manage time with competing priorities.
• Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
• Take pride in store appearance, help keep the store clean, attractive and organized.
• Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions and inventory management.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• State licensure.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Robust customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Sales skills and ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS systems, computers and calculators.
• Embrace new technology and change.

• Previous customer service and retail experience.

Pay range: $25.10 – $34.98 per hour. Compensation may also include a competitive bonus and/or commission plan to complement a first‑class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
