Vans: Store Manager - Square One

Overview

Store Manager: the Store Manager inspires, motivates, leads, and develops a store team. You champion business strategies, vision, and values. You impact the bottom line by maintaining optimal staffing levels, recruiting, hiring, educating, and motivating a team. You set the example for customer engagement that exceeds industry standards and maximize store profitability by controlling expenses, protecting company assets, and ensuring that store standards and processes for merchandising, operations, and community participation are well executed.

You create an inclusive environment and always put internal and external customers first. This role is with Vans (VF Corporation) and involves aligning with the company culture, values, and standards while driving store performance.

• Strategically lead the team to maximize and achieve store sales goals; monitor sales progress and results against key targets.
• Model and foster a consumer-centric mindset within the store; demonstrate selling behaviors through genuine interactions for teams to imitate.
• Attract, recruit, and hire high-caliber, diverse talent; maintain a strong succession plan within the store.
• Provide direct coaching, feedback, training, and supervision of associates.
• Demonstrate clear communication, training, and coaching; set expectations for customer engagement, store policies and procedures, and hiring/building a robust team.
• Manage expenses to maximize sales and profitability; lead an environment of productivity ensuring the team has knowledge and skills to meet store goals.

• 3–5 years of related professional/retail management experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to meet business goals by driving results through store teams.
• Ability to coach and motivate a team to excel at sales and profit results.
• Proven communication skills.
• Ability to be solution-oriented and flexible in a fast-paced workplace.
• Formal education and undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but total experience and achievements are prioritized.

Hiring Range: CAD 29.60–40.95 per hour. Incentive potential and additional compensation may be available. Benefits and detailed compensation information will be provided during the hiring process. This posting reflects current requirements and may be subject to change.
