Product Development Specialist (Retail Products) – 18‑month contract
About the Role
TJX Canada – Winners, Marshalls, Home Sense is seeking a creative and trend‑savvy professional to support our private‑label strategy. The role involves designing seasonal trends, developing sourcing packs, and collaborating with merchants and business partners to influence product decisions in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Pay Range
Base pay: CA $78,000.00 / yr – CA $78,000.00 / yr

Responsibilities
Design seasonal trends and products; create related sourcing packs aligned with the off‑price model and merchant objectives.
Conduct research and analysis on market trends for style, color, and material selection for private‑label brand strategy; attend domestic and competitive shops to stay current.
Monitor in‑store product to identify additional opportunities.
Participate in competitive shop planning and sample display presentations; leverage information to support trend research and requirement development.
Build strong relationships with merchants and collaborate closely with business partners.
Use influence skills to build buy‑in and support from key stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in the retail industry.
Strong sense of fashion and color, especially in home trends and product design.
Advanced computer skills in Adobe Creative Suite CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and MS Office.
Deep understanding of product design principles and best practices; strong aesthetic vision.
Excellent organizational skills, able to manage details, prioritize, and meet deadlines under limited supervision.
