About the RoleThe Showroom Decorator plays a vital role in creating an inviting and visually appealing environment that enhances the customer experience and drives sales. This position involves designing and arranging showroom displays that effectively showcase products while aligning with the brand’s aesthetic and marketing strategies. The decorator collaborates closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure that displays are refreshed regularly to reflect seasonal trends, promotions, and new product launches.
Attention to detail and creativity are essential to transform the showroom space into an engaging and inspiring setting that attracts and retains customers. Ultimately, the role contributes to the overall success of the showroom by elevating the presentation and ambiance to maximize customer satisfaction and business growth.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in interior decorating, visual merchandising, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of design principles, color theory, and spatial arrangement.
- Ability to lift and move display materials and products as required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Post-secondary education or certification in interior design, visual merchandising, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in retail or showroom environments.
- Familiarity with current design trends and customer preferences in the Canadian market.
- Proficiency with design software or digital tools for layout planning.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Design, plan, and execute showroom layouts and displays that highlight products effectively and attractively.
- Maintain and update showroom decor to reflect current trends, seasonal themes, and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align showroom aesthetics with brand messaging and sales objectives.
- Ensure all displays are clean, organized, and safe for customers and staff at all times.
- Monitor inventory of decorative materials and coordinate with suppliers to replenish stock as needed.
