Drive freight growth through strategic customer relationships, market development, and sales leadership in this full-time Business Development Manager position.
This manager identifies freight opportunities, grows existing accounts, and develops strategic partnerships. The position oversees Inside Sales Representatives while collaborating with the Director of Sales. Success includes executing sales strategies, managing selling costs, and achieving profitability objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify freight opportunities, sales leads, and market openings
- Develop customer accounts and strategic business partnerships
- Oversee Inside Sales recruitment, training, and performance
- Collaborate on sales policies, strategies, and programs
- Analyze sales performance, trends, and business results
- Relevant postsecondary education
- Six years of transportation industry experience preferred in management
- Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web application proficiency
- Knowledge of marketing, accounting, and financial practices
Use freight development, sales leadership, and relationship-building expertise to grow accounts, partnerships, market share, and profitability.
