The Global Security Dispatcher plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of personnel, facilities, and assets. This position is responsible for receiving and dispatching emergency and non‑emergency calls, monitoring security systems, coordinating responses to incidents, and acting as a liaison with internal teams and external emergency services. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced setting.

Location: Mississauga, ON

Shift: Rotational shift work (Days and Nights)

Pay Rate: $25.75 per hour

• Receive, assess and dispatch emergency and non‑emergency calls in a timely and qualified manner.
• Dispatch security personnel and guards to respond to alarms, incidents, and service requests.
• Monitor CCTV systems to detect and report security incidents or suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular CCTV audits to ensure system functionality, compliance, and coverage.
• Monitor alarms and security events using the OnGuard system and initiate appropriate response protocols.
• Perform access control duties including managing credentials, monitoring access points, and logging commercial vehicle entries.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation in accordance with company policies.
• Liaise with external emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) during incidents and coordinate on‑site response efforts.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders including security supervisors, management, and operational teams.
• Follow established security procedures, escalation protocols, and confidentiality standards at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Control room / operations center environment.
• Prolonged periods of monitoring screens and systems.
• Shift work may be required.

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.
• Previous experience in security dispatch, monitoring, or control room operations preferred.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in emergency situations.
• Proficiency with security systems including CCTV and alarm monitoring platforms (OnGuard experience an asset).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and experience with logging and reporting systems.
