Role Summary
Reporting to the Field Supervisor, Hydro Vac Operators are responsible for the safe operation of hydro excavation equipment, coring equipment and supporting utility locating projects as part of the Subsurface Utility Engineering group with multi
VIEW Locates Inc.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Safely operate vehicles in accordance with CVOR, MTO and other provincial requirements.Complete coring of asphalt and concrete surfaces prior to excavation activities.Operate Hydro Vacuum Excavator to expose utilities for measurement and data collection.Complete excavation restoration activities, including mixing concrete, tamping and post
project inspections.Set up, manage and remove temporary road occupancy equipment according in strict
adherence to regulations.Perform daily inventory and inspection of fittings, hoses, valves and connections to ensure
quality assurance.Capture survey data for Subsurface Utility Engineering group.Read project sheets and perform project safety site inspections.Read, interpret and augment maps with notes.Travel to other cities/areas, work in a variety of settings and worksite conditions.Work evenings, weekends or out-of-town on occasion.Operate a computer.Other duties as requiredSkills &
Qualifications:
Must have DZ license with minimum 2 years’ experience operating commercial vehicles.Self-organizing and able to multi-task.Experience dealing directly with customers.Strong communication and team skills.Able to work independently and as part of a teamClean driving license.Able to work on job sites outside for long periods.First Aid and Confined Space Training an assetCompensation & Benefits:
