In this role, you will assess and report on potential foster homes, provide ongoing support to foster families, and implement community enrichment programs. Your background in social work and understanding of local cultural practices will enable you to drive impactful change within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess potential Foster Homes with detailed reports
• Assist Foster Families in their caregiving efforts
• Handle placements and ensure children in care receive support
• Promote the Foster Home Program within the community
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary service providers
Requirements:
• Diploma in Social Work or equivalent qualification
• Strong grasp of Nemaska social dynamics and Cree culture
• Bilingual in English and Cree, with French as an asset
• Class 4B driver’s license is required
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours and travel
Utilize your social skills and cultural knowledge to empower families and children in Nemaska.
