Youth Worker Overnight

Position: Youth Worker for Overnight Support
Transform the lives of homeless youth as an Overnight Youth Worker in Peel Region. This rewarding position emphasizes client-centered care and life skills development during overnight shifts from 11 PM to 9 AM.

In this essential role, you will provide support and crisis intervention as youth navigate challenges in a shelter environment. Your efforts in maintaining a safe space and facilitating programs will create lasting impacts on young lives. Collaboration with community agencies and effective communication will enhance the overall care provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct intakes and facilitate support programs

• Manage follow-ups on residents' care plans

• Support daily routines, including cooking and cleaning

• Monitor shelter safety with regular checks

• Keep accurate documentation of shift activities

Requirements:

• Diploma in Social Services or equivalent experience

• 1-2 years in a youth shelter or residential setting

• Knowledge of local resources and trauma-informed care

• Valid Ontario Driver’s License with insurance coverage

• Current CPR/First Aid and CPI/UMAB certifications
