Support vulnerable youth as a Youth Support Worker with Central Toronto Youth Services.

Your role involves providing vital outreach and counseling services to young individuals in the justice system.

CTYS is looking for a full-time Youth Support Worker focused on youth justice outreach. This position entails working closely with marginalized youth and their families, facilitating access to resources and supportive counseling tailored to their unique needs. Collaboration with various stakeholders is crucial to successfully addressing systemic issues faced by the youth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and create tailored service plans

• Provide supportive counseling to youth with complex needs

• Collaborate actively with court and community service partners

• Ensure client files adhere to agency policies and practices

• Engage in program development and agency events

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• Minimum three years' experience in youth justice support

• Knowledge of Youth Court procedures and social services

• Expertise in techniques like CBT and trauma-informed care

• Proficient communication skills for diverse youth interactions
