Position: Covenant House Youth Worker, Outreach Services
Covenant House is hiring a full-time Youth Worker in their Outreach Department to empower vulnerable youth. This role involves crisis management and ongoing support for homeless individuals.

You will serve as a community support advocate, developing individualized service plans while connecting youth to essential resources.

Your role will center on providing crisis counselling, ensuring safe environments, and engaging directly to build healthy, trusting relationships. This full-time position is essential for facilitating positive change in the lives of marginalized youth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage effective service plans

• Provide consistent supportive counselling

• Engage youth in welcoming activities

• Assess needs and ensure a safe food service

• Document client interactions accurately

Requirements:

• Child and Youth Worker diploma required

• At least 2 years’ experience with at-risk populations

• Strong skills in communication and crisis management

• Autonomy and teamwork capability

• Must have First Aid and CPR certification
