Position: Settlement & Employment Counsellor
Become a key resource for newcomers at Indus Community Services as a Settlement & Employment Counsellor in Mississauga and Brampton. Help immigrants adapt and find employment through tailored workshops and personal guidance.

This full-time contract role focuses on providing effective settlement and employment services to newcomers. You will assess client needs, facilitate workshops, and ensure smooth integration into Canadian society. Culturally sensitive support is crucial for helping clients with job search strategies and understanding workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of newcomer client needs

• Provide referrals to essential community services

• Deliver one-on-one employment counselling

• Organize educational workshops on settlement issues

• Maintain accurate client records and documentation

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in relevant fields

• Experience in employment counselling preferred

• Strong understanding of immigration services

• Excellent communication skills in English

• Ability to work independently and in a team
