Language Assessor

Make a difference with Achev as a Language Assessor in Mississauga, Ontario. You will administer language assessments to newcomers and help them find suitable training options to thrive in Canada.

In this role, you'll support clients by conducting Canadian Language Benchmark assessments and referring them to local programs that suit their needs. Your work will directly contribute to empowering diverse Canadians as they start their journey in a new country. This position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as sensitivity to the unique challenges faced by adult learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer Canadian Language Benchmark assessments to clients

• Provide warm and welcoming client reception at sites

• Screen clients for eligibility and advise on training options

• Ensure data accuracy per funder requirements

• Respond promptly to client inquiries about training programs

Requirements:

• CLBPA or CLBPT training and certification needed

• Bachelor's Degree with 200+ hours ESL experience

• Strong knowledge of second language acquisition

• Excellent English communication skills required

• Must work day/evening shifts in person 4 days a week
