Child and Youth Care Professional in Schools

Empower youth at Brampton West schools as a Child and Youth Care Practitioner. This full-time role focuses on emotional support, social skills development, and well-being initiatives.

Working under the guidance of the Superintendent, you will collaborate with educators to implement programs that support students' social and emotional challenges. Your expertise in behavioral strategies and crisis intervention will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and facilitate social-emotional learning group programs

• Conduct assessments to identify student needs

• Offer direct support to students facing personal challenges

• Monitor and evaluate student behavior and progress

• Participate in team meetings to strategize support

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Child and Youth Care

• Preferred two years of relevant practice experience

• Experience working with diverse learning needs and disabilities

• Background in Applied Behaviour Analysis and trauma-informed care

• Submission of a recent Vulnerable Sector Check
